As a Yoga Therapist in clinical practice Noah incorporated his skills from the Chiropractic\, Acupuncture and Kinesiology domains to work almost exclusively with Yoga related injuries. His interest in Yoga rehabilitation led to the development of Soundmoves Yoga focussing on Physiological and Psychological approaches to practice. \n\n\n\nCurrently Noah is pursuing clinical research in Yoga Therapy at the School of Medicine in the University of Adelaide. While developing the Soundmoves method certain discoveries revealed the need to validate and verify how Yoga can be optimised for therapeutic outcomes. His research focusses on the application of rhythmical breathing and movement patterns on Heart Rate Variability Biofeedback. \n\n\n\nEven after 30 years and thousands of hours spent teaching Noah is still most happy when he has the opportunity to share Yoga in person. \n\n\n\nJulie Gargano: \n\n\n\nJulie Gargano has a long and dedicated career spanning over 30 years in the field of yoga and is considered an industry leader\, visionary & pioneer. I was introduced to yoga when I was 9 years old by a speech therapist I was seeing for my selective mutism. Interestingly\, she showed me how to do the Salute to the Sun which became part of my treatment plan. This planted a seed\, and some years later when my parents were looking to start their own yoga practice\, I offered to help them find a yoga class. This was when I came across the Ryoho Yoga studio in Manly. I fell in love with this unique yoga practice which was dynamic and challenging\, and was accompanied with a dialogue about health\, based on the macrobiotic understanding of the universe. From that moment on\, I was determined to learn more about this way of health and become a yoga teacher.  \n\n\n\nSince that moment\, I have done numerous studies in yoga and macrobiotics. I completed my Ryoho Yoga teacher training with Andzej Gozpodarczyk in 2007 and then studied with Sensei Ken McLean in the art of macrobiotic counselling\, ki cultivation and ki shiatsu. I have also done further training with Janie Larmour of Zen Ki Yoga and completed a teacher trainer refresher course with Ryoho Yoga in 2021. I currently teach from my home yoga studio in Angaston in the Barossa Valley and am also the creator of The Wellbeing Room podcast and my YouTube channel\, The Centre of Ki. \n\n\n\nIn my classes\, I focus on helping students release tension and stagnation from their bodies\, build core strength and back stability\, and realign their mind\, body and spirit connection through breath awareness. \n\n\n\nVani Shukla: \n\n\n\nOwner and principal Yoga teacher at Yoga Spirit Studios\, one of Adelaide’s oldest and most respected traditional Yoga and Meditation centers. Vani Shukla\, holds more than 20 years of experience in practice\, study\, and teaching Yoga.  She advocates the life-changing benefits of this ancient science of total well-being (physical\, mental\, and spiritual). \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nCPD: This conference will provide Yoga Australia members with 4 CPD points. \n\n\n\nBRING: Please bring your own yoga mat\, water bottle and food for snacks and lunch. In this modern 21st century world\, we are witnessing a growing carelessness about the phenomenon of death\, as well as a deep spiritual ignorance about its meaning. Some sees death as an ending and others as a beginning. For some it is a tragedy\, a loss from which they may never recover. For others\, death is a transformation\, an opportunity to make a change in their life for the better. In this workshop\, we will explore the Yogic perspective of life\, death\, afterlife\, law of Karma and reincarnation. \n  \nThis workshop is indeed unique with the aim to address a very important gap in our modern times: the spiritual preparation for death\, one of life’s greatest passages. We will look at the philosophy of Karma\, types of reincarnations\, liberation while being alive\, what to do at the time of death and the journey of a soul. \n  \nThe purpose of the workshop is to help you transform fear into faith\, to answer questions and to enhance mindfulness to prepare for death during this lifetime using methods from the teachings of Yoga. \n  \nThe workshop will include:  \n  \n\nReincarnation\, more than just a theory\nThe meaning & types of Karma\nHow to eliminate Karma\nHow Karma relates to Reincarnation\nReincarnation – entering the flesh again in an interconnected cycle of existence\nHow to prepare for one of life’s greatest passages\nYoga & Meditation focus class\nRefreshments URL:https://yogaaustralia.org.au/event-course/reincarnation-the-art-of-living-and-dying-yoga-workshop/ CATEGORIES:Events ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:https://yogaaustralia.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Reincarnation.png ORGANIZER;CN="Yoga%20in%20Daily%20Life%20Victoria":MAILTO:melbournel@yogaindailylife.org END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Australia/Melbourne:20231013T170000 DTEND;TZID=Australia/Melbourne:20231015T120000 DTSTAMP:20231105T181719 CREATED:20230523T121248Z LAST-MODIFIED:20230523T121329Z UID:10000332-1697216400-1697371200@yogaaustralia.org.au SUMMARY:Adventure & Yoga Retreat DESCRIPTION:Kalbarri Adventure & Yoga Retreat \n\n\n\nOctober 13-15th 2023#kalbarri#wa#westernaustralia \n\n\n\nA weekend for you to connect with like-minded women to adventure through the Kalbarri National Park Gorges and Coastal Cliffs\, overcome fear by abseiling\, snorkel at the beautiful Blue Holes beach\, sup on the Murchison River\, and restore your body after all this fun with vinyasa and yin yoga. Using a healing life force (Prana\, Qi\, Chi\, Ki) as a solution to liberate yourself from the body and past. \n\n\n\n‘Who we are’ is a complex combination of evolution\, ancestry\, experience\, chemistry\, chance and the choices we make. \n\n\n\nIt is now a known scientific fact that trauma is stored in our body. According to the Ancient yoga sutras; our face\, body and our posture store the history of our lifetime. Metaphysically and now proven scientifically\, our past is stored in our cells\, our genes and our DNA. Trauma not only affects our cells\, but it changes our body\, our gut\, our brain wave patterning\, our nervous system and our brains. \n\n\n\nIn this course\, we will use meditation techniques to explore the way grief and trauma can affect the nervous system\, the mind\, our muscles\, organs and fascia. Furthermore\, we will bring presence to body and breath\, bringing the freedom of movement and mind into the present. Breathing together\, moving together\, touch and eye contact with trusted others help us to dissolve the past that lies in our body\, even our genes. \n\n\n\nThis 3-hour workshop will introduce the theory and research behind this evidence informed meditations for grief\, shock and trauma. \n\n\n\nJoin us to find freedom within your heart\, acknowledging with deep respect and humility the unbreakable human spirit within. Of its many definitions\, the most pertinent is the gleaming fluid secreted from the pineal gland during deep states of spiritual practice and identifying with the moon. \n\n\n\nThe Soma Sessions integrally connect you to the lunar phases and energies through specific Asana\, Pranayama and meditation techniques to bring you closer to these intuitive states and a joyful sense of calm. \n\n\n\nDuring the Soma Sessions\, we practice together under the influence of the waning and waxing moon. We feel the contrast and proceed accordingly. \n\n\n\nWe move gently\, breathe well\, rest and bathe in the ocean of self-love and community. Then we eat – served by our very own culinary Guru Dipendra from Streets of Nepal Crescent Head. \n\n\n\nWhen: Every second Saturday from 1 April 2023 \n\n\n\nTime: 7.30-9.00am \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nBYO: Mat\, water bottle\, empty belly \n\n\n\nPreferred to be contacted via email please: jessica.ranjit@gmail.com URL:https://yogaaustralia.org.au/event-course/soma-sessions/2023-09-23/ LOCATION:Loftus Road\, Loftus Road\, Crescent Head\, New South Wales\, 2440\, Australia CATEGORIES:Events ATTACH;FMTTYPE=image/png:https://yogaaustralia.org.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/05/Soma-Sessions-flyer-Oct-23.png ORGANIZER;CN="Jessica%20Ranjit":MAILTO:jessica.ranjit@gmail.com GEO:-31.1498869;152.9785018 X-APPLE-STRUCTURED-LOCATION;VALUE=URI;X-ADDRESS=Loftus Road Loftus Road Crescent Head New South Wales 2440 Australia;X-APPLE-RADIUS=500;X-TITLE=Loftus Road:geo:152.9785018,-31.1498869 END:VEVENT BEGIN:VEVENT DTSTART;TZID=Australia/Melbourne:20230922T080000 DTEND;TZID=Australia/Melbourne:20230926T170000 DTSTAMP:20231105T181719 CREATED:20230821T074326Z LAST-MODIFIED:20231101T113506Z UID:10000597-1695369600-1695747600@yogaaustralia.org.au SUMMARY:iRest Level 1 Training DESCRIPTION:This training is a journey to discover an unwavering inner resource of wellbeing and unlock simple and profound tools that transform how to meet yourself\, navigate life and learn to support others to do the same. \n\n\n\nThis training teaches the research-backed 10-Step iRest Yoga Nidra Meditation protocol.
