SUMMARY:Online Post Graduate Chair Yoga PD
DESCRIPTION:This post graduate online professional development (PD) for yoga teachers (minimum 200 hour trained) is designed to develop the knowledge and skills required to teach accessible yoga on the chair (or supported by the chair) in a wide range of community settings. The content of the PD has been approved by Yoga Australia as Approved Professional Development (APD) for face to face and online delivery. \n\n\n\nThis PD is held online (Zoom) so that yoga teachers located in many settings are able to benefit from the training. Online training reduces costs for travel\, accommodation and expenses allows yoga teachers with caring and employment responsibilities to participate from home. \n\n\n\nChair yoga is an inclusive and accessible form of yoga that can be practiced by people of all ages and abilities and incorporates all elements of a traditional yoga practice to support the physical\, mental\, social\, emotional and spiritual wellbeing of students. \n\n\n\nThis PD will provide you with the skills\, techniques and knowledge to enable you to immediately expand your business to teach yoga to the large (and rapidly growing) proportion of the community that cannot or choose not to practice yoga on a mat. \n\n\n\nThis course is delivered by Robyn Lewis\, a Senior Yoga Australia registered teacher with a background in secondary school education. Robyn’s extensive yoga teaching experience includes vinyasa flow\, core yoga\, gentle yoga\, chair yoga and children’s yoga. Robyn currently teaches the full range of chair yoga forms from gentle chair through to chair-mat blends to groups and one on one clients. \n\n\n\nThe following modules are now available online (Zoom):\n\n\n\n1. Module 1 – Foundations of Chair Yoga – (compulsory)\n\n\n\nPLUS \n\n\n\n2. Module 2 – Chair Yoga for General Community groups \n\n\n\nAND/OR \n\n\n\n3. Module 3 – Chair Yoga for Aged Care and Dementia specific groups \n\n\n\nAND/OR \n\n\n\n4.
